What I’m Reading: Agatha Christie An Autobiography

I like order and schedule, so I’ve decided to have specific themes for my posts.

And now, on to What I’m Reading!

I’ve just finished Part III, Growing Up, of Agatha Christie An Autobiography.  I generally prefer autobiographies, or biographies written by someone close to the subject, because they feel more authentic.

So far, I’ve only read about Christie’s childhood, and I’ve found it fascinating!  She was obviously a brilliant child – taught herself to read by age 4, learned French within a week, had an extremely vivid imagination – but she continually refers to her shortcomings.

I’m looking forward to the section of the book where she starts writing.  I can’t wait to read about the beginnings of Hercule Poirot, and find out what she thought of her own talents (not much, I’m guessing)!
