I recently discovered a new link up to participate in. It’s called Five Friday Favourites, and it’s hosted by Amanda @ The Book Badger. Amanda provides a bookish prompt each week. This past Friday’s prompt was Favourite Book Covers.
The Hunger Games trilogy. I love the three covers side by side – the arrow, the clock, and the broken cage.
Vintage Pride and Prejudice. In real life, peacocks are awful, mean animals, but they sure are pretty on the cover of my favorite book!
Incarnate (New Souls #1). It’s just so pretty! All the covers in this series are pretty, but this is my favorite.
Agatha Christie: An Autobiography. This photo of Agatha Christie, surrounded by her body of work, just cracks me up!
Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore. This one is deceptively simple in its design. The fun comes in when you realize each of the little yellow “books” GLOWS in the dark!
I’m linking up with The Book Badger.
This is a wonderful list Selah! I had no idea Mr Penumbra’s 24- Hour Bookstore glowed in the dark! That’s such a wonderful touch for the publishers include. I also haven’t read The Hunger Games and so have never noticed the little details on the cover, but that’s also such a subtle detail and it’s beautiful. It’s definitely been pushed up list, and Incarnate is absolutely stunning; the whole series is, and I’ve seen the covers next to one another and they are beautiful. Thank you for taking part hun, and I hope you take part in the future 🙂

Thank you, Amanda! Since I blog about books and fashion, I like to alternate my Top Five Tuesday posts between the 2 subjects (although I combine them when I can). Several of your upcoming prompts grabbed my attention, so I’ll be participating off & on. 😀

P.S. I would agree with you whole-heartedly on the Hunger Games covers except I take issue with the font. Shudder…

Ha! I’ve never even noticed the font – I was too engrossed by the pictures!

I know, right? I actually discovered it because of this graphic tee:

That company’s size chart makes me cry!

Geez. Have some teeny weeny shirts. They have to be juniors sized. Otherwise an XXL is not a 40″ chest. I usually wear an XXL and I’ve got a 50″ bust.

I love that cover of Pride and Prejudice! It’s gorgeous! That cover of the Agatha Christie one is a crackup–I can’t believe all the books she wrote. 😀 This is another reminder that I need to read Mr. Penumbra’s Bookstore–I have it on the shelf.
