How Do You Dress Like a TREE?

I’m doing something a little different today.  Since I’m still reading Sunshine, I don’t have material for a What I’m Reading post, so I decided to participate in Anne the Spy Girl’s 52 Pick-me-up link up instead!

The prompt this week is Dress Like a Tree.  Say what!?!  How do I do that?  Well, Maricel (and Aly) inspired me with this post on Monday (Oh, Anne wasn’t being literal?  OK).  Plus, I had trees on the brain.  Well, one specific tree:

Leaning tree

This is the baby tree in our front yard.  Our HOA informed us that trees over 6 months old needed to have their stakes and ties removed.  This is what happened when we removed ours. 😦  We had the builder’s landscapers come replant the tree, but after a 24 hour rainstorm on Saturday, it’s leaning again.  Sigh.

If I were going to dress like this poor tree, I’d wear a green, one shoulder dress, with an asymmetrical hem, like this:

And a lopsided expression:

Selah is not impressed!

Edited to make Anne feel better. 😀

I know! I feel bad for it. 😦 The house and landscaping are under warranty, so the builder will have to fix it. They’re supposed to come replant it and put new stakes and ties on.

Do you get a notification when someone links up, or was it because I left a comment? I’m just wondering if there’s a way to get inlinkz to notify me & Maricel when someone links up to T3.

Wait, what? You don’t get a notification when someone links with us? Coz I do.

I wonder if that’s because I’m the originator of the linkup? Rather than sharing the link with you, perhaps if I share the actual code, it’ll work? Wanna try that next time? Or do a test run first in case it goes all wonky?

In regards to today: Yowza mama! That’s one Leaning Tree of Pisa, my friend. But that’s also one gorgeous dress inspired by it. In every cloud, there’s a silver lining, eh? You wearing that dress any time soon? I’d love to see it on you, lopsided expression and all. ;p

No, I don’t get notification. I’ve just been checking periodically. I’d love to try it next time (a test run could be good, but I’m not sure how to orchestrate it).
Unfortunately, I don’t own the dress. I didn’t have anything that would work for this challange, so I just consulted your boyfriend, Google. 😛
