All in all, it was a never-to-be-forgotten summer — one of those summers which come seldom into any life, but leave a rich heritage of beautiful memories in their going — one of those summers which, in a fortunate combination of delightful weather, delightful friends and delightful doing, come as near to perfection as anything can come in this world.
― L.M. Montgomery, Anne’s House of Dreams
What a lovely quote! I don’t know if my summer was quite so wonderful but I suppose big changes happened for the better 🙂

My summer wasn’t perfect either, but I hope I’ll remember the fun things I did with my family more than the bad parts (like all the dental work my daughter had to have). 🙂

My summer was glorious and I’m having such a difficult time letting go. 😦
Excellent quote – I particularly love the repetition. “Delightful doing”, indeed!
