What I’m Reading: Alexander, Who Used to Be Rich Last Sunday

Alexander, Who Used to Be Rich Last Sunday by Judith Viorst and Ray Cruz is the sequel to the perennial favorite Alexander and the Terrible,  Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

Alexander’s grandparents give him a whole dollar but he has a lot of trouble holding onto it. This book is a fabulous example of a living math book. It uses word problems in a story format to make math more interesting, enjoyable, and applicable to real life – perfect for word oriented people, like myself. 🙂
