Thankful Thursday Wrap Up

2 years ago my dear friend Caitlin @ Greater Than Rubies posted something she was thankful for EVERY DAY in November. I played along in the comments, as well as keeping a list on my phone (which I saved and posted here). I want to revisit that idea, so Thankful Thursdays are taking over November!

To check out what I was thankful for the 1st to the 12th, see here. For the 13th to the 26th, here. Here’s what I’ve been thankful for November 27th – 30th (the numbers correspond with the day of the month):

  1. An unhurried Thanksgiving Day.
  2. Online shopping (because there is NO way I’m venturing to the stores on Black Friday!).
  3. Meeting my new nephew!
  4. Christmas is coming!

What are you thankful for today?

Congratulations! Do you know if you’re getting a niece or nephew?

My nephew isn’t brand new, he’s 2 months old already, but my sister lives in PA, so this was the first chance we’d had to see him. My kids were enamored. 🙂

I have 3 much older half-sisters, so I’ve technically been an aunt since I was 10, and am now a great-aunt. 😯 I’m much closer to my younger sister though, so this feels more real, if that makes sense.

Ditto about online shopping. And because of circumstances beyond my control, I was even able to curtail major impulse shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That’s the good news. The bad news is that I’m now woefully behind on my Christmas shopping and time – she is a-tickin’. :/

I ventured out yesterday afternoon for a few errands – not Christmas shopping, just regular errands, and it was busier than I’m comfortable with. I had a return to make at Old Navy, but the line was WAY too long to bother with.
      You’re a champion online shopper – you’ll get it done. 🙂

Well, most of my gift recipients are old enough now to simply want gift cards which is probably why I’m not as anxious about ti all as I would normally be. Thank goodness for thinly-veiled money presents, eh?

Dyl wanted Legos too but he’s high maintenance and difficult and is not into any of the “themed” pieces and has pretty much all the middle-of-the-road Creator sets, so unless I wanna bust my budget with the big ticket Lego items, the kid is just getting a Target gift card. ;p
