Jennie blogs at A Pocketful of Polka Dots, and I love her eclectic style, especially her casual Friday and weekend looks! I adore this tomboy chic look so much, I used it as an excuse to buy plaid sneakers. 😉 Oh, and since I don’t have a navy striped top, I used a polka dot sweater instead, because it is the right cut and color, and it suits Jennie’s blog name. 😀
Oh, brilliant! This is a perfect pattern mixing combo! You look tomboy fabulous in this, and now I have a hankering for plaid sneaks! ;p

Jennie’s slip on pair are from Target:

They’re both very inexpensive, and mine are pretty comfy. 🙂

Argh! The Target ones are out of stock in my size. Ah, well. The silver lining is that I don’t have to worry about making up my mind. So yours – are they true to size? I wear 7.5-8, depending on brand. I have wide short feet. What do you recommend?

I’m sorry about the Target ones. 😦
I wear a 9 regular, and that size fit perfectly.

Ah, slip-ons and I aren’t friends anyway. I like the security of laces.

OMG, I didn’t know plaid sneakers existed! Is it too late to add these to my Christmas list?!

It’s still more than 2 weeks until Christmas – not too late. 🙂 See the links I gave Maricel above.

Ooh, this turned out sooo cute! I seriously love that you went with a polka dot cardigan! Might just be the next thing on my wish list… That and black chucks (which you actually inspired me to add to my list quite awhile ago.) Thanks for the shout out, girl!

I’m glad you approve! 😀 Black Chucks are the BEST!

I love olive this year (I mean, LOVE) and it’s so perfect with the polka dots!

I’ve been obsessed with olive for a few years now. It goes with everything, but it’s more interesting than a lot of neutrals.
