Thoughtful Third Thursday: December 2014

Time for the final T3 of 2014. This month’s theme is Best OR Worst Read of 2014. If you read my post on Tuesday, you know I read a LOT of great books this year. I already used some of them for T3 posts, and I don’t want to end the year on a low note, so I’m choosing my favorite book in my favorite new-to-me series of the year, Abhorsen by Garth Nix.

I chose a base of black and darkwash denim, because this book is DARK fantasy. The houndstooth cardigan represents one of my favorite characters from the book, the Disreputable Dog (my other favorite is Mogget, a feline familiar). The key pendant stands in for the keys embroidered all over the Abhorsen’s robes.
