    I love your list and we have quite a few overlaps (Lucy, Anne, Elizabeth Bennet). I especially like your additions of Sabriel and Lirael – I have been reflecting while reading Abhorsen that Nix is pretty great at writing female characters. I also like Pippi! I didn’t think of her at all but I remember as a child being so envious of how free-spirited, fearless and full of fun she was!
