A Bibliophile’s Restyle: Hats for The Lovely Lookbook + Remix Looks, Week 4

It’s time to participate in The Lovely Lookbook link up with Greater Than Rubies and Tucker Up. This month’s theme is Hats.

imageI’m not much of a hat girl, but I did don this cloche (from my daughter’s dress up box) for a recent Literary Stylings link up:

I’m linking up:

Here are the looks I’ve created for the Shop Your Closet Remix and Create28 Lovely Looks:

Sunday: Dress 2/22/15

Monday: Button down + jeans

2/23/15

Tuesday: Sleeveless blouse + cardigan

2/27/15

Wednesday: Graphic tee

image

Thursday: Casual top + jeans

image

Friday: Skirt + leggings

image

Saturday: Sweatshirt + Chucks

2/28/15I didn’t set out to wear a plaid shirt every day this week, but once I realized A) my outfits were trending that way, and B) I own exactly 7 plaid shirts, I embraced it!

You have 7 plaid shirts! Woot! I’m so proud! And a bit covetous. 😀

I like Friday’s look best because of the color combo and the extreme pattern mixing.

Hats can give one such a look! When I was a younger in the ’50s, hats were still in for church wear, but that was about it in my area and eventually even that went by the wayside. It’s such fun to notice in old movies and the like all the hats and the look they give to the wearer. I like your look in the one from your daughter’s dress up box.

Love all of your plaids! The plaid and stripes is my favorite but I also love the plaid button down with jeans. Thanks so much for participating. You have always been the remixing genius, Selah!

Wednesday’s look is my favorite this week. I like how the pink plaid is a fun little separator between two pieces that are almost the same color. Very nice!
