Friday Fashion Frenzy (9)

Friday Fashion Frenzy is a feature where I link up with multiple style blogs.

BLOGGING BESTIES

Blogging Besties is the brain child of Alex @ Undergraduate Style and Whitney @ Whitney à la Mode. It’s based on the idea of “take one, pass it on,” but we’re passing on an element from another blogger’s outfit.

I love the idea of a cozy cardigan in a light neutral shade, and I adore floral for Winter, so I passed on the floral top, neutral cardigan, and skinny jeans from Alex’s look.

TARDIS TUESDAY

TARDIS Tuesday is a link up with Maricel @ My Closet Catalogue. Her tagline is “British, blue or Doctor Who”, so it can include anything British, TARDIS blue or Whovian.

This is the blanket I curl up under to do my Winter reading. It’s cozier on the inside.

LITERARY STYLINGS

Gracey has brought back Literary Stylings for 2015! The idea is to get sartorially inspired by a book you read the previous month. I read a bunch of books in February, but most of them were period pieces, and I just did that.

Wicked Appetite by Janet Evanovich was one of the few contemporaries I read (during jury duty, no less). It takes place in Salem, Massachusetts, and features Lizzy, a baker with special cupcake baking powers. The hilarious story was almost ruined by a monkey named Carl (seriously, why a monkey, WHY?!?) but was still fun.

I paired black and navy for a “witchy” look (because of Salem – get it?), and accessorized with a cupcake necklace. 🙂

That blanket needs to go on my birthday wish list. It’s one of those things that you can’t see buying for yourself but would squeal in fangirl delight if one was gifted to you. I bet Bert bought it for you, eh? ;p
