A Bibliophile’s Restyle: Geek Out (5) Amy Pond

I’m continuing my closet Cosplay of the Doctor’s companions with my sartorial sister, the girly tomboy, Amy Pond:

For my tribute to Amy in America, I paired pink plaid (so much better on me than red), skinny jeans, sneakers, and a gold spike necklace to replace Amy’s Sharpie lanyard. I drew my hash marks with eyeliner. 😉

Huh, so you can’t do red but you can do purple? How about orange? I’m intrigued…

And huzzah to your sartorial sister! I wonder who mine is. River, perhaps?

Orange is a no-go for me. I can maybe wear peach, but pumpkin-y orange makes me look like a zombie. I have a coral skirt that I love, but I doubt the color would be flattering close to my face.
I can wear red, if it’s on the blue end of the spectrum, but I don’t particularly like red.

Probably River, yeah. Her style is really eclectic and hard to pin down. 😉

I think we may have similar commonalities with red – I, also, look best with blue-based reds – but my problem with it is that I do love the color but have such a challenging time with it. I either feel I’m dressing for the holidays (Valentine’s or Christmas) or I’m a throwback to the 80s (remember the red and black and white?) so other than camel, I’m hard-pressed thinking of what to wear with it.
