Today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is “10 Of My Most Recent 5 Star Reads (Or Ten Of The Best Books I’ve Read Recently if you don’t 5 star stuff…or you could do 5 of my latest five star reads & five of my most disappointing or 1 star reads).” Here’s what I’ve loved recently:
- The Coincidence of Coconut Cake by Amy E. Reichert
- The Unbound by Victoria Schwab
- Because of Winn-DIxie by Kate DiCamillo
- There Must Be Murder by Margaret C. Sullivan
- Sorta Like a Rock Star by Matthew Quick
- The Mysterious Howling by Maryrose Wood
- The Penderwicks series by Jeanne Birdsall
- Mechanica by Betsy Cornwell
- Spinning Starlight by R.C. Lewis
- Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Coincidence of Coconut Cake sounds really.. funny? What is it about?

It’s a contemporary rom-com. Kind of a blend of When Harry Met Sally, You’ve Got Mail, and Julie & Julia, in book form.

I haven’t read ANY of these yet! OMG. I forgot how much TTT makes my TBR list grow exponentially every week. That Coconut Cake one looks fantastic and I need to get my hands on it (and some cake!) ASAP!

Yes, TTT is dangerous. 😉 Based on your list, I’d suggest The Archived and The Unbound by Victoria Schwab. The Coincidence of Coconut Cake is a fantastic rom-com, and will make you crave all kinds of food!

I was a senior in college when Winn-Dixie was originally published, so I missed out at the time. It’s perfect to read with elementary age kids though. My kids and I loved it!

I could almost love The Coincidence of Coconut Cake just from seeing the cover! It looks so incredibly scrumptious. Thank goodness I’ve already done my grocery shopping for the week. 😉
