Mini Reviews (14) – Fox & O’Hare

The Heist by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg
⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Fun and funny Evanovich romp. The whole “girl eats nothing but junk and still has an amazing body” thing is getting old, but at least Kate is more than competent at her job. The diamond heist reminded me of How to Steal a Million, which is a very good thing.

Multiple art heists and cons in multiple countries? It’s all in a day’s work for Fox, O’Hare, and their bevy of accomplices. Fun!

The Job by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg

Another fun entry in the series. The part where Kate goes gaga over Nick giving her a (pretend) wedding ring was silly for many reasons, not least of which was the fact that it wasn’t the first time! Reyna is a particularly gruesome villain.

The Scam by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 1/2
A nicely complicated, convoluted con, a character with an incredibly annoying speech pattern (are Evanovich and Goldberg being culturally insensitive, or am I?), and a cliffhanger ending!
