Mini Reviews (21) – Foodie Books

  1. Bread & Butter by Michelle Wildgen
    ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
I was hoping for a little more romance and a little less brotherly drama, but this book really delivers on the behind the scenes of a restaurant – made me miss watching Hell’s Kitchen and Top Chef.
  2. Luck, Love & Lemon Pie by Amy E. Reichert
    ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
I didn’t love this one as much as The Coincidence of Coconut Cake – stories about couples (maybe) falling apart just aren’t as fun as couples falling in love.
  3. The Pursuit by Lee Goldberg
    ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
This one barely qualifies as a “foodie book” but Nick is a gourmand and Kate is decidedly not, which is funny to read about. The perfect quick, fun read to get me out of a reading slump. This time, Nick, Kate, and their team pull a con or 3 in Paris. C’est magnifique!

I’ve been wanting to read The Coincidence of Coconut Cake for a few weeks now… it sounds so good! I’m hoping that my library has a copy of it. I’ve been watching a lot of Chopped lately so food has definitely been on my mind haha 🙂
