Mini Reviews (31) – My Lady Jane

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
This is decidedly quirky alt-history, which doesn’t work for everyone, but it works for me! It’s kind of The Princess Bride meets the Tudors.
Had I read this in print, I probably would’ve rated 4 stars, but Katherine Kellgren is an amazing narrator, so I’m giving an extra star for her. My very first status update on Goodreads was “Katherine Kellgren, Katherine Kellgren, Katherine Kellgren!” and that was enough to convince Stephanie @ Don’t be Afraid of the Dork to listen because Katherine Kellgren is just that awesome!
I was excited to find out that the authors are collaborating on more books about historic Janes: My Plain Jane, due in 2018, about Charlotte Bronte and Jane Eyre, and My Calamity Jane, due in 2020.
