Death of a Chimney Sweep by M. C. Beaton
⭐ ⭐ ⭐
This one was kind of all over the place, and the titular chimney sweep was very unimportant to the main mystery. The body count was HUGE!
Death of a Kingfisher by M. C. Beaton
⭐ ⭐ ⭐
I read this one in a day (audiobook while running a bazillion errands). As is typical of this series, the mystery was sprawling, the body count high, and the characters oddly charming. I love Hamish Macbeth, and always enjoy reading about his antics.
Crowned and Dangerous by Rhys Bowen
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 1/2
First of all, how gorgeous is that cover? Bowen really needs to follow through with the Darcy / Georgie marriage! This one was very slow to take off, and featured way too much Zou Zou (a new character). I enjoyed the resolution, and ultimately ended the book with a smile.
