I am not a fan of traditional Fall colors. Mustard yellow, pumpkin orange, and most shades of red are simply not flattering to my Clear Winter coloring. So, I took my inspiration from the Pantone Fashion Color Report Fall 2014:
I paired this Aluminum skirt with a Radiant Orchid button-down. I added Aluminum ankle boots and a Mauve Mist cardigan.
Odd, that. I’m a clear winter also, and even though I’ve stayed away from traditional fall colors as well, when I started my blog I threw caution to the wind and ended up loving orange and olive and even yellow. Maybe I’m just deluding myself?

Huh, I would’ve pegged you for a Deep Winter:

I think your darker skin tone probably holds up better to oranges and yellows than my “vampire” complexion. 😉 I can wear bright, clear shades, but mustard and pumpkin wash me out. I LOVE olive though.

Great interpretation of the “it” colors this fall. I tend to go with jewel tones during this season because I, too, look a little vampirey in oranges and yellows. I sometimes attempt to pull mustard off because I love it so much but it’s probably not my best option.

Thanks! I fully intended to get an outfit pic for this post, but I’ve been sick, so extra outfit pics didn’t happen.
I look a little vampirey at all times. Pumpkin and mustard push me toward zombie territory. 😛

I love the colors you picked! I’m not a yellow/orange color girl either.

Thanks! Grey is my favorite neutral and purple is my favorite color, so this was a easy choice for me. 🙂
