You’re welcome. 🙂 I started Attachments yesterday afternoon, and I’m about halfway through – I’m really enjoying it so far!
Aren’t they cool? The artist has tons of literary travel posters (linked on the word artwork). I love the HP tee – it’s so minimal, but it gets the point across. 🙂
Ack! My name gets mispronounced ALL the time, and I’m betting misspelling is just as annoying. I’m sorry. 😦 I’ve gone back and corrected it.

Ooo. Definitely going to check out the other artwork.
That’s alright! I’m used to it. 🙂 I get misspellings AND mispronunciation all the time. Thanks for correcting it!

Now I’m curious – I’ve been pronouncing your name (in my head) just like Stephanie. Am I right? What kind of mispronunciations do you get?

I get misspellings too. Sela, Seela (which is actually how it’s pronounced), Cela, Sheila, etc. The problem with pronouncing my name is that other people with the same name pronounce it differently. So I get
          Sell-a, Say-la, Sheila. Oh well.

Yeah, it’s pronounced like Stephanie, but you’d be surprised how many people think my name is actually pronounced like Gwen Stefani’s last name. Who would actually name their child Steh-fah-knee? Haha.
I was right! I was pronoucning your name right in my head!

I’ve always had a love / dislike (hate is too strong) relationship with my name. I love having a unique name, as well as a family name, but I dislike constantly having to correct pronunciation. Apparently, my dad wanted to call me Kansy (rhymes with Pansy) as a nickname for Arkansas. I’m very thankful that didn’t happen. 😛

Oh my goodness. Kansy. NO. Sorry, but no. Yeah, I know what you mean. I like that my name is spelled differently. My middle name is Sara – with no h. So, it’s a little different too. I like it but it definitely gets annoying sometimes.
Also, we never have our name on any of those personalized knick knacks, do we? Haha. That always sucked as a kid.

I was in a souvenir shop recently (the legendary Gay Dolphin in Myrtle Beach, SC) where they had an entire wall of those tiny personalized license plates. They had my husband’s name (Bert, not super common), my kids’ names (I don’t put them on the blog, but they’re hard to find personalized stuff for), and Sela, but not Selah. 😛 Not that I WANT one, but I always look.

Aw. Lame! So close! I’ve never seen anything that had my name on it. I’ve seen Stephanie (obviously), Stefanie (sooo close), and a few other variations, but never Stefani.

Okay, what an interesting thread! My daughter hates that I spelled her “Alyson” (the proper British way) rather than “Allison” because she, too, can’t find her name in those vanity souvenir license plates! But if we’re talking pronunciation of names, mine is the ultimate. Maricel. Mah-ree-sell. How difficult is that?! It’s phonetic. But I get Mary-sell, Mar-sell, Mar-see-ell. Argh.

Btw, Selah, you are infiltrating my psyche. I’ve been pre-writing next week’s posts and was at a loss for the next WIT feature when I thought of lists and random things and decided to create e subcategory of randomosity for WIT, little realizing that I probably got the idea subconsciously from you. (And that was one heck of a run-on sentence, wasn’t it?) Watch for it tomorrow.
