Bert gave me a beautiful 40th anniversary hardback of The Princess Bride for my birthday, so I REALLY need to re-read it! I’ve got it on my TBR for this summer.

Full disclosure: I have only watched the film, not read the book. Perhaps I ought to do that, eh? ;p
Oh, no! Dickensian?! I didn’t read that on the Goodreads description. I may just pass then…

IMHO, The Princess Bride is one of those rare instances where the book and film are equally good, even though the film leaves a lot out. I think this is due to the fact that Goldman is a screenwriter and wrote the screenplay of his own book. Highly recommended reading!
Goodreads doesn’t say Dickinsian, but I’ve read that in other places, which, of course, I can’t find now. 😛

The Book Thief is on my TBR as well (I even own a copy), but the book listed above is The Good Thief, which I honestly haven’t hearda lot about.
I love the idea of Teaser Tuesday, but I already have so much planned on Tuesdays. Instead, I often post snippets from my current reads on Wordsmitten Wednesday. 😀
