It’s happened . . . I’ve developed blogger burnout. Since I don’t want to quit, I’ve decided to scale back.
I’m going to finish out two series I’ve got going:
- Companion Closet Cosplay (just Amy and Clara to go)
- Bookish Alphabet (this will take a while since I’m only on J)
Once those are finished, I’m going to stick to my favorite posts:
Obviously, I won’t be posting quite as consistently, but hopefully this scaling back will prevent complete burnout, as I would like to continue blogging at least until I complete my Classics Challenge (scheduled to end on or before 7/1/18).
Oh, no! Not Blogger Burnout!
I feel your pain, though. In fact, I think we’re in synch once again because I’ve already prepped next week for another hiatus since it’s Spring Break for me. So no outfit posts for five days. I’m practically giddy with relief.
So you go with your scaling back! As one of the people who’d encouraged you to go beyond GCOGH and start this blog in the first place, I feel responsible for your heath and well-being and encourage any action that ameliorates any blog-related stress. 🙂

Yeah, I’m going to take a week off from blogging (and reading / commenting on other blogs) when we go on vacation.
Thanks for the support! I really do enjoy creating posts and interacting with the community, which is why I don’t want to stop. I just don’t want to feel pressured to come up with something 5x every week.

When do you guys leave? Do you have Spring Break next week like I do?

We don’t do Spring Break, just Good Friday, because Bert is off work. We’re headed on vacation mid-May, after we finish school for the year.

Curse you, blogger burnout! I completely understand what you mean though. You reach a point when you are just doing too much. Happy to see you’re still going to stick around though!

Thanks, Stefani! Most of my burnout is related to the style portion of my blog. I ❤ all the reading I do now that I have the blog and Goodreads.

It happens! Scale back now, and maybe you’ll miss it later and come back. I’ve gone through several cycles of this, so I can totally relate. It’ll all work out! 🙂

It’s a good plan Selah and I totally get that feeling! This month has been a bear with getting the flu and then work being crazy it’s been hard to get back in a groove and I’m still not there. It’s a time and energy consuming thing this blogging! Glad you’re sticking around and just cutting back a bit!

Thanks, Stephanie! I brought this on myself with my ‘need’ for routine. It’s time to cut myself some slack. 🙂
