So looking forward to Watchman. Can’t wait to hear what you think of Le Petit Prince. I need to get back to my mystery reading because I think I’m doing an entire unit of “discovery” and the mystery genre fits nicely in that, don’t you think? Perhaps some Sherlock Holmes for a classic touch? ;p

Holmes is always good. Have you ever read any Dorothy Sayers?

She doesn’t sound familiar. Is she considered a classic read?

Definitely a classic mystery writer – she was a contemporary of Agatha Christie. Her sleuth is Lord Peter Wimsey, an aristocrat with a classical education. The first 5 books are good, but in the 6th book, Strong Poison, Lord Peter meets writer Harriet Vane, and the series gets even better. Other than reading Strong Poison before the later books, the series doesn’t have to be read in order.

I’ve been meaning to read it to my kids for ages, and it fits into a couple of the reading challenges I’m doing. 🙂

Goodreads describes it as a love letter to books – what more could a bibliophile want?

I’ll be reading Rhys Bowen this summer too – as you know, lol. Just finished Her Royal Spyness and will probably read A Royal Pain toward the end of the month. I might even get to Royal Flush before the end of summer. Just ordered City of Darkness and Light, a Molly Murphy one.
