It’s still unbearably hot and humid but my thoughts are drifting toward Fall. I’m thinking of ways to extend my Summer wardrobe. I’ve got lots of ideas for the look above.
I’m going to keep the top and jewelry exactly the same. I’ll change the cutoffs for distressed jeans, and the pewter sandals for grey ankle boots. Then I’ll add a completer piece. Maybe something simple, like a black cardigan (a chambray button down would work too).
Or maybe I’ll do some pattern mixing. I love this graphic houndstooth but stripes, polka dots, and plaid (or polka dots and plaid) work as well.
I could also pick up on the colors in the floral print with this Sangria cardigan. I don’t have a teal or aqua cardigan, but either color would be beautiful with this print!

Oh, I can’t wait for fall either! Your looks are making me plan my next challenge after 50 Dresses. I wonder how many pairs of pants I own? ;p

We got some surprisingly cool weather yesterday but it won’t last. Hmm, I own more dresses than pants, but neither of our wardrobes are a “typical” size, so who knows?

Oh how I can’t wait for fall layering 🙂 All of these looks are great. Way to make that tank stretch way into the colder weather!

I do love to layer but I’ve been (mostly) content with my clothes this summer. I’m just sick of heat and humidity.
